Botulinum toxin (Botox®) is a proven, prescription medication suitable for the targeted treatment of expression-related wrinkles. It inhibits signal transmission between nerves and muscles, so that the affected facial muscles contract less strongly and existing wrinkles are smoothed out.

 

When is Botox® useful?

This method is particularly suitable for wrinkles caused by excessive muscle activity, such as:

• Forehead wrinkles

• Frown lines (glabellar lines)

• Crow's feet around the eyes
